Into the Thick of it.

Gambling with their very souls, Mattais and Isaias have little choice but to accept the Dark God's offer to hunt down and kill one of His own. Yet, neither wish to serve the forces of Chaos and consider themselves loyal men, marked for certain death by fate itself... what else can be done but to return to the Inquisitor, appease a Dark God,...

WWII Family Stories

Note to the moderation: This blog is wholly apolitical and not anti- or pro- anything.

To commemorate the beginning of the Second World War, I'd like to dedicate a blog post to war stories I've gathered talking to various people...in the Internet, because real war stories are always more interesting. You, too, are free to post!...

Deathwatch campaign kick-off

Leave Comment
I'm starting up a Deathwatch campaign this weekend. I'm also pretty much a newbie GM and I'm hoping that I can provide not only a good time to my players, but a memorable occasion as well. This shouldn't be much of an issue, since one of my best friends is not only helping me out by being a Co-GM (when need be), but he's been...

Black Crusade Popularity Speculation

One of the RPGs I am eagerly awaiting the release of is Black Crusade, a Chaos-focused Warhammer 40k RPG by Fantasy Flight Games. I am already a huge fan and avid player (and gamemaster) of their other 40k RPG lines and I am expecting Black Crusade to be about as good as the others.

Of late I have been wondering how much of a draw and an interest...

(Off-Topic) Not a pep speech.

So, I was politefully asked to post this speech to the public, since a few of my classmates enjoyed it. Try and ignore the lack of spacebar, as this campus computer is gimp.

To the boys and the men of my generation, I ask you one thing: What do you see? I ask this, so you may look around and recognize your own perception on life. Look at...

United States Job Corp: The cup of RAGE that Khorne starts every morning with.

Sorry you folks haven't heard from me in awhile, as I've been accepted into Job Corp, which many of you foreigners may not have heard of.

Essentially, its government funded work-based training, that lasts up to 305 days or more. As a bonus, you live on campus in a dorm, with an average of one to three roommates. Roommates who tend to be...

Demons of the Mind.

Leave Comment
Before I begin this, allow me to say this is not bashing peoples beliefs. This is an observation I have seen, and pondered one. Whether demons, angels, or even God exist, is fully up to you.

This is a psychological, and philosophical observation on the idea of demons.

We have all seen him. The blood red skin, black hair, horns, and a...

The First Heretic

Greetings, denizens of the Eye!

Last week I got a copy of The First Heretic and finally had the time to read it. I would like to review it briefly without giving too much away because this Horus Heresy novel by newcomer (compared to other BL writers) Aaron Dembski-Bowden is good. Really good!

Ultramarines the Movie Review: Part Deux

Leave Comment
So, I finally saw the movie.

What can I say? The CGI makes criticized Final Fantasy look like brilliant and finished, but we all knew that already. The characters are shallow and have the personality of a rock, and power armor certainly doesn't help. Most of the time there's a group of identical marines (excluding the Captain and the...

Grofaz' Ultramarines Movie Review

I received the movie last week and saw it yesterday, below are some thoughts with no major spoilers.

Box presentation is very nice, good art and the hardcover graphic novel is in color and glossy, very nice. The DVD case is thin metal with the Aquila on one side and the UM symbol on the other, inside the 2 DVDs, one is the movie and the other are...

Tears of Angels. (Chapter 1)

Caliban was burning.

Much of the forest that once covered the land scape was already cleared away by the machines of the Imperium. It was a changed world, stripped of the shadows. It would become a beautiful world with the Imperium's coming. A beacon to mankind, and the limits they can push. A ideal place for a man to live, grow, and do his...

Chapter Colors

This is what I have in mind for the paint schemes. Obviously there will be some differences with vets, characters, apoths, libs, etc. I would be open to some minor changes, but I think this is generally the idea of what I am looking for.
