No corner of the galaxy is safe from conflict and the Sargos Sector; located on the far reaches of the galaxy, has mainly gone unnoticed… until now. Ancient Sentinel Devices, created to contain the Warp, have slowly started to deteriorate. Warring factions have converged upon these lost worlds seeking to preserve or destroy the fabric of reality, which we know.
As the flames of war begin to burn their way across the worlds, strange rumors begin circulating of a secretive group who have long dwelt in the region. These shadowy entities, seemingly nomadic by nature, are known as The Warp Watchers. Little is known of this mysterious sect; some speculate that they are a splinter group of the Great Crusade, others whisper that they are the foul agents of some power of Chaos. Whoever they may be, it is clear that they long ago sought refuge and sanctuary in this region, relatively free from the turmoils found in other parts of the galaxy.
Little is known of the technological capabilities of the Warp Watchers, save that they have assuredly mastered warp travel in the region. They have shown no allegiance nor hostility to any faction as of yet, mainly appearing and disappearing seemingly at will throughout the Sargos Sector. Always watching, waiting and recording; gathering whatever information they can and possibly disseminating this information. Whether for either good or evil… none can yet say.

Warp Watchers, formerly known as Warhammer 40K Online, is a site dedicated to Vigil Game's upcoming MMO, Dark Millennium Online. There are many sites dedicated to DMO, but we were the first to start bringing news, rumors, and other information to fans of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. So, why did we switch our name from Warhammer 40K Online to Warp Watchers? The reason is two fold...
- The first reason is that due to the legal proceedings between Games Workshop and Curse/Warhammer Alliance, we felt that it would be better to rebrand to avoid the same fate. Were we making money on the site? Yes and no. While we do make money on ads, our Membership Contribution Program, and member donations, all revenue received goes directly back into the site. Warp Watchers is strictly non profit and will remain that way, all money received goes into maintenance, upgrades, prizes, etc.
- The second reason is that we know as the game draws closer there will be other fan sites that pop up. Some that will have great information and their own niche, others that will portray themselves as the top site while doing nothing more than taking information off of other fan sites. We designed Warp Watchers to bring our members, and lurkers alike, a more interactive experience. As the story of DMO plays out, so will the story of the Warp Watchers. Members have already been exposed to some key players and the conflict with in. As DMO unfolds, we will use locations, characters, and even players/members as part of our story.
